About the Speaker
Dr. Le Lan Huong is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, where she heads the Department of Architecture and Technology. With 25 years of experience in teaching and research, her work focuses on social housing and workers' housing — developing housing models, building social housing databases, and establishing evaluation criteria. More recently, she has expanded into the humanities in planning and architecture, addressing vulnerable groups: housing linked to sustainable livelihoods for industrial workers, highland communities, and climate-affected areas. Her latest research examines inclusive design in social housing in Hanoi, conducted through a partnership with KU Leuven, Belgium, funded by VLIR-UOS, where she serves as Vietnamese promoter.
